I'm not sure about this one; I found it a bit silly in places and lacking that special 'something'. Sadly you're stuck with a helper; Joe the fox, who fidgets and makes noises whenever asked to do something, as if it's too much effort. And you have to give him boots to cross a puddle of water. Do foxes in the wild wear boots?? I must make sure to watch out for that

It's pretty enough, with plenty of sparkle as you might expect from a Christmas themed game. For once Elephant seem to have grasped the meaning of the 'no sparkles' option in the scenes but I suspect it would have got lost in the general glitter-fest, so they probably just left it out for this game.

The puzzles were the best part for me; nothing particularly new but at least something that required thinking about. However I really hate those 'jump one thing over another until there's one piece left' puzzles, so that one was skipped. The HOS are nicely done, with variety and nothing to hard to find. There are multiple collectibles; morphing snowmen, jigsaw pieces and 'guests' in various guises. Some were quite tricky to spot. I didn't note the extras or how many chapters.

The story is basically 'wicked witch ruins wedding by turning the guests into assorted objects and animals'. You are their only hope; no pressure then. I think Elephant have struggled to better the wonderful 'Nutcracker' and this game is a pale shadow of that triumph. It's pretty and sparkly but lacklustre and a bit boring. I might go for the SE just to find out what happens but I give this CE a 'Bah Humbug' rather than a 'Merry Christmas'

No technical issues with the demo, which ended with 25 minutes remaining. Desktop running Win7 Prof 64-bit.

Curses! The evil witch has cursed everyone who attended the Royal Wedding of Prince Edward and Rose! (it's a good thing I was late!) This is no ordinary curse, that witchy woman turned everyone into something else, it's a good thing the best man is now a fox, how else would I have strung the Christmas lights on that gigantic tree? (hey, don't laugh, the wedding may be off, but Christmas must go on!) Poor Rose is, well, she's still a Rose, but now she's a Rose with thorns, and roses don't last long. Their only hope for normalcy, is to repair the clock that cursed them, when the clock strikes Midnight, the curse will end. Unfortunately this clock isn't striking anything, because it's missing vital parts, 2 ornamental pieces, 2 gears and 2 screws, which is the equivalence of finding a needle in a haystack, compared to the size of the Royal Palace. Everyone has a stake in this cursed game, so you'll be assisted by some pretty unusual wedding guests, on this magical Christmas adventure!

Christmas just isn't Christmas until Christmas Stories releases their annual magical game. There are 3 Christmas themed games that I so look forward to each and every year. This game has beautiful Christmas themed music, gorgeous graphics, and a whimsical story adaptation of the classic tale, A Little Prince, what could be better? You're not going to experience any logic in this silly game, after all, how logical is a curse that has turned people into pianos, foxes and mice? None of that matters, what matters is the entertainment factor, and I hope you like solving puzzles, because there's enough Mini Games and Puzzles to stretch out two different games in this Christmas themed game! This Collector's Edition is worthy of it's namesake, because there are so many collectibles. Each Scene has a Morphing Snowman, and at least one hidden Jigsaw Puzzle Piece, and some scenes contain collectible Wedding Guest Figures. The only disappointment I have with this 6th game in the series, is that there aren't many objects you can interact with, other games in this series, have had presents you could open or various decorations you could fiddle with for absolutely no reason other than entertainment. I should at least be able to shake a snow globe or throw a snowball! (come on Elephant, be creative!)

What a lovely, lovely game. I really enjoy this wonderful game by Elephant Games. The colours are great, as are the graphics, and - so far - the puzzles have been easy enough for me to do without using the skip button, which I prefer.

A big thank you, and Merry Christmas to everyone at Elephant Games.

I find it silly also! Not very entertaining for me! But that's my opinion!

YEAH, IT'S HERE!!

I have been eagerly waiting for this game to come out. I always enjoy Elephant's Christmas Stories and have saved up my money to grab up this years masterpiece. I am downloading it immediately.

I will return with my review after playing the demo, but I'm sure I'm going to love it. Elephant always has such great graphics, color, Christmas music, fun puzzles and HOG's in their Christmas games. I have them all and loved each one so far.

Thank you Elephant for your masterpieces you produce! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

When I tried the beta for A Little Prince I found that it didn't hold my interest but when I tried the demo I found it fun and challenging at times. The further I go into the game the more I like it.

The Christmas Stories games have been ones that I look forward to each year. I love the soundtrack and the beautiful graphics AND the mini-games are a bit more difficult. The HOPS are creative and have interaction that really makes them fun. I know a lot of gamers really don't like helpers and at times my pal Joe does make noises that I can live without BUT at other times his antics make me smile.

For me this is a beautiful and enjoyable game. It really is one that you can play with the younger members of your family during the holidays. Not everyone will like the game but I find it perfect and at least for me I think it is one of the best since the Nutcracker.

Haha, you and me both. And to make matters worse, the puzzle has three stages.

You can tell from the opening scene what kind of game this is going to be. I tried, but I just could not get into it. If anything, there is simply too much to do.

Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas & holiday season.

Happy gaming!

Finished the game, including the bonus chapter, and loved everything about it, including my helpers, as well as the cute animations that appeared throughout the game.

Lasted 20 minutes in the demo. Can't say there is anything I like about this one except for the music. The graphics are cartoonish. Don't like having a helper that is juvenile, however nice for kids. There are so many inventory items to collect and tasks to perform that it is boring and I cannot even suggest that young people would care for this because of all the inventory and tasks to complete in just 3 scenes. Only came across one hos...a Christmas tree...it only took a couple of minutes to complete and I thought that was poorly done. The puzzles I came across were a chore....flipping picture pieces(how frustrating) and placing music notes was not any fun at all. This is by far the worst Christmas game I have come across. It surely could have been a better quality and is a disappointment.

I'm not going to completely pan the game but after playing it through I've gone back and replayed all the older ones starting with the glorious Nutcracker and must say that I'm a little disappointed this year. Doesn't anyone in development look at and play the older games that were spectacular in their presentation. I'll try it again later and see if I feel better about what is truly a sweet story and see if it stands on its own.

I rarely fail to complete a demo, but between the back & forthing & the slow-when-in-use, fidgety-when-not-in-use helper, I failed to complete this one. I agree w/ cathybobcat's assessment regarding this game's appeal for younger folk, as I doubt my 9-year-old granddaughter would last long, either. Last year's Yuletide Legends was enjoyable to both of us, though, so I guess we'll wait & see what this year's installment looks like. To all who like, enjoy your early .

I played the trial and I love everything about it, but some puzzles. I liked the train puzzle. The extras are really nice. I never minded the helpers. I enjoy the companionship of helpers. There is a added Christmas feel when you do a Christmas hops. I counted three hops in the trial. I have all the Christmas stories and look forward to them. I will buy it as so as it's 65% off. The morphing snowman is so cute. I found three things I can play with in the game. The bell, raven and star bell. Looking forward to playing the full CE. Games are made to have Fun. I don't play PC games with my kids. They play their games when I'm not around. I don't play games when they are here. Long time empty nester.

Just my opinion.

This has been one I've been looking forward to for a long time (since the last Christmas Stories release, actually). That said, I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop and it has hit with a thud with this release. Last year's game didn't hold as much magic for me as previous ones, this one is really lacking, imo. The graphics are still beautiful and the music is nice, but the story line just doesn't hold my interest. It bears scant resemblance to the original story by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (the fox and the rose references, yes) but all in all, just another "witch tries to spoil the wedding" when it had the possibility of being so much more. Disappointed.

I too am loving this game. Everything about it is lovely. The hops are fun, the mini games are fun and the game is bright, cheerful, and colorful. Too bad we only get a game like this once a year.

I am with you, mhatfie, in that we don't get enough, if any, colourful games anymore. Every one of them is dark and consists just of turquoise/purple shades. So this Christmas game really cheered me up.
