I'm glad it's not just me. I have reached the point to too frustrated yesterday and deleted the game. I cannot understand why developers would make it so frustrating. Games are supposed to be fun. And this one was, for a couple levels. I am having trouble in SF, I see others made it further before they gave up but regardless, I'm thru here. I hate games where you have to spend tons of money to buy boosts just to pass the level.....I'm not against purchasing a few boosts for very difficult levels but to need boosts for every level is nonsense. Makes the game no fun. So thanks developers for a few levels of fun but you are no longer a part a my game repertoire.

I like this game GUMMY DROPS, but it has it's problems. Like you win a level, suddenly all of these arrows drops appears, and points starts totaling up like crazy, yet, with all of these point's you are never rewarded with anything. Even when you hear GUMMY DROP which I heard twice since I've been playing, I thought I would receive something, but nothing. Also, big fish states that this is a FREE game to play. Now, how is this a FREE game when you have to PURCHASE COINS and TOKENS with REAL MONEY! I don't mean any disrespect, but I think this whole game is designed so one will have to BUY COINS AND WEAPONS because when you finally have enough coins to purchase weapons, lives or time, the game takes them very quickly. when I finally got to the treasure chest the game states when you click on the X, ( there is a FREE treasure chest buried somewhere in this city), it costed, (WHAT!). And to move to the next stage you have to build a building, but the amount of bricks, caps, and or gems is so great you have no choice but BUY THEM, or find or replay levels in-order to attain the equipment needed as I am having to do at level 80 in Sidney Australia, which takes great patience. I know the definition of FREE and this game is not that. BF should reclassify this game as A FREE DOWNLOAD. Because it is going to cost you whether with MONEY or GREAT PATIENCE.

Pleased with the new update, very cool. But please please please can we have the life meter back in the top left hand corner if possible, it just looks messy. Icons could be smaller to be able to do this. Thanks.

Once loved it now grueling see all levels (let's see if anyone responds as they never do)

First two cities were challenging and fun. I completed every game..
Then came San Francisco where I left architect level of 89,113,118,119 plus 21 side games.
In NY, I left architect level of 116,127,129 plus 23 side games.
In London, I left 106,109,110 plus two side games.
The above is reasonable but look at Berlin.
In Berlin, I left: at least architect level of 50,64,63,86,87,88,91,93,95,96,98,100,101,103,104,106,109,110,112,116,117,118,120 plus 31 side games!! Miserable challenge. Sucks up coins with no relief. Happy to go forward and still hoping the game would improve.
In Rome, I left 61,89,98,113 plus 11 sides. Results improved but time commitment increased for less results. In other words, I had to play the games more times to win.

Now, I'm in New Orleans aka hell! This place is over the top hard, money sucking difficult. Every number must be played over and over and over and over and over and over to win even at the "intern" level. It's not fun. It's not funny. It not challenging because it is ridiculously difficult. I feel we deserve an explanation why you create such a game. Can I get through it? Sure. But, why be constantly frustrated. I have come to think of my first three or four attempts at any level as "throw-away attempts" because I know it is programmed not to allow me to win until I spend coins or repeatedly try and try and try and try and try. Does this sound like a game to you.?
Does this sound like fun?

Gummy Drop Review Example New Orleans

[Post New]by Greatwitch on Oct 21, 15 7:34 PM
I have reviewed this game and posted many questions and appeals for help in the past. No response to any of them.
Here is my review. Game is fun in the beginning for first couple of cities then it starts getting tough. By the time you reach New Orleans, it's impossible and that takes the fun away.
For example, at this point, even the "intern" level is ridiculous. Count on playing it and losing minimum of 5 times (if you are good) before progressing to intern unless you buy a LOT of cheats. (My advice is not to buy cheats they are expensive and unending almost as if the game knows you have them so you run up a debt and still make little progress. That can be doubly frustrating when you reach a spot like New Orleans.)
To show how demanding the game is, I am currently on New Orleans 101 architect level. I was two weeks making the last 10 numbers (90 to 100) I have completed the architect level on approximately four of them. Each level within a number required that I play it over and over and over and over again until it finally allows me to pass just one step. All funds are drained and last resource requirement to move past 100 was a whopping 2,650,000 pinks!!!! It took a week to assemble that many pinks because the previous move required an insurmountable number as well and I was wiped out.
The game isn't really tough, just riduculous. We know and sense when it's unfair and impossible regardless of the cheats used. You simple cannot win a level until the game "let's" you pass.
Frankly, I don't think Gummy Drop cares how tough it is. It's designed that way to take money. They only want the money. Pretty short sighted because more players might stay and pay a little but not blood sucking ridiculous! Let's see if this remains up and if I get a response from them. Big thumbs down so far

I agree, first thing I noticed and I don't like it. It gets in the way of play.

It's mind bending, I have had a few mishaps along the way, I've almost given up once or twice but I still go back to it!
I only have a few issues & they are....For the Australian players, The Daily Events seem to be activated way too late.
Different time zones means I would need to play in the early AM hours to gain any benefits from it.
A few more surprise coin rewards along the way would be a great benefit, I thought The wonder wheel on Coney Island would've been some kind of reward wheel instead it does nothing!
Well done BigFish I've not come across a game yet to compare!

I have really enjoyed this game and spent quite a bit of money on it. Once I reached Berlin it became far less enjoyable because the levels were much too hard and you had to spend real money to get though. I am now in New Orleans and have decided to give up, its just not fun any more. I might start again having learnt from my first go.
Dissapointed

I love this game. However it is bankrupting me in having to "buy" helps and cheats for every level no matter what. I'm currently in Barcelona, and I can't believe the difficulty of the levels. Bombs behind chains, wall blockers and sand? Really? As I said before, I love this game, but I'm finding it impossible to afford it. There is not enough opportunities to "earn" coins so you end up having to buy them. A
Almost ready to quit game, I've uninstalled other games in the past for less. Come on guys, put the fun back in this game. PLEASE!!!!!! and Thank you...

I have loved this game so far, even though I have had to start over twice. This last time, I was most of the way through Tokyo and my computer died; no possibility of getting the old info off of it to save my game.

It was wonderful that BigFish refunded the money I'd spent on it but I was appalled to discover that I'd spent about $75 total, in $3 and $6 increments. Gods! I can't afford that, frankly.

So I've started over in Australia and play slowly and enjoy myself. It is relaxing and fun and I enjoy the skill level challenge in clearing each one.

Reading other reviews, if I ever get to Berlin and it becomes a lot more difficult, well then, I'll stop playing. I play for ENJOYMENT, not for competition or to get frustrated.

My biggest complaint is that it takes a minimum of SIX clicks to end the game. Seriously? If I want to exit, I know I want to exit and I don't mind two or even three, but SIX? That's really annoying.

I am one of your older players, upper 70's, but I love the game and play off and on all day. But it is getting much harder as you advanced. I am around level 100 in Berlin and I have noticed Berlin has been much tougher than all previous 7 cities, and from what I have read New Orleans will be a real chore. Also thru the voucher program I have played about a dozen levels in St. Petersburg. I would like to offer a suggestion. Why not have different levels of play as many games do. For instance make an easier version by adding 25 prevent more moves to each level and probably even more percentage to the timed levels. Personally I would rather see them eliminated for as one ages the eyes don't focus as quickly. Incorporating this suggestion would make this old dude quite happy, and I believe make for more people to play. Despite the stress I still think you have maybe the best puzzle type of game I ever played. Thanks

Great game for the first couple of cities but later on it seems that you only have a one percent chance of completing a level....I'm probably being generous in saying one percent.even using boosts is very hit and miss and they aren't cheap.sorry to say I'm deleting this extremely frustrating game.

By and large enjoyable, but there are certain levels that you either have to be extremely lucky or buy additional lives/time/powerups to pass, even on intern.

These are the ones where you have to get some ridiculously high score or amounts of bricks/mortarboards/gems in only a dozen or so moves or well under a minute of time.

Those are the levels that make me want to delete the game entirely.

I really enjoy playing this game and enjoy all the challenges but I hate the vouchers and truly dislike the placement of the passport book. I have lost far too many lives by accidentally hitting it instead of what I want to hit for something that is of zero use (the vouchers).

I know this is for reviews but I wanted to respond to jennsoumali973. There are tips in the forum for New Orleans 16. I have almost quit a number of times but using the tips and contacting customer support, I am in Shanghai.
This is a very tough game which makes it all the more satisfying when you successful.

I love this game but along with all the reviewers I have issues too with some levels being unrealistically hard to get past. So it must be on purpose, I mean you do want the person playing to get frustrated and end up buying coins and even doing that I still can't get past the last level I'm stuck on. It's impossible and I'm telling you that I'm not spending another cent on this game. It's not worth it. So I read a lot of reviews and noticed everyone has same issue about unbeatable levels and are going to stop playing. Don't come back and say it's a tech issue because it's not. This is done on purpose. If you want us to play this game make it reasonable so we don't have to get frustrated and just leave for good. No more money from this gal! Also only having three lives to play. Not nice, have five like other games!!!!!

Great concept, but needs a lot of work to be challenging and fun.

- needs more lives
- needs more rewards and better rewards for completing challenging levels
- some levels are just too hard no matter how many powerups you use
- game seems like a money grab as a lot of the levels can't be completed without spending tons of real money to complete levels.
- game levels need some work to be more fun then frustrating.
- shouldn't take 22 lives to complete a level.

Look I understand that you guys want to make money too but pissing off your customers and no one wanting to play because of impossible odds I don't think is the way to go.

Ive already deleted the game and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. It's sad when cooperate greed has to ruin a game.

Totally loved this game, but after months of playing, it's gotten tedious and boring. The cities have become frustrating with levels that have to be played over and over. Coins have become difficult to earn, even going back and playing previous cities. Lives and boosts are wasted when, in the heat of the game, a finger accidentally hits a button. It's becoming impossible to pass levels to earn the required resource to build. I've gotten to Rio, but I'm afraid this is probably the end for me. Too bad, as this game has such potential for fun, but the amount of real $ required to buy coins and boosts to get through a level is becoming prohibitive. I know the creators can get through the tough levels without boosts, but I doubt the average player can.

Thoroughly addictive. I'm into Berlin on the PC and Barcelona on my Android tablet. I haven't paid out real money for anything to get to this point, and I don't intend to spend real money in the future either. Some of the levels are, in my opinion, un-necessarily difficult to get through and do detract from the enjoyment of the game.
I would also like to see the ability to move resources to the city of my choice rather than just the lastest city accessed. I also don't understand why all the features of the Android version aren't available on PC. Why no link between the PC and Android versions as is available on so many other games? Synchronising between platforms would be a real plus.
